Privacy Policy
How we handle information collected through this website.
Effective August 26, 2026
The Coeur d'Alene High School Class of 2027 parent committee is a volunteer group in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, raising money for a Safe and Sober Grad Night. This policy explains what we collect through vikings2027.com, why, and who else sees it. It covers this website only. It does not cover Coeur d'Alene High School or Coeur d'Alene School District 271, which are separate organizations with their own practices.
The short version
We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and there is no advertising on this site. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics tool, so we are not tracking how you move around the site. We ask for information only when you choose to send it, and we use it to run the grad party.
Information you send us
One form on this site collects information: the grad party ticket and waiver form. Buying a ticket requires signing the waiver, so both are submitted together. It asks for:
- Your name, and your email address if you choose to give it
- The name and phone number of each student the tickets are for
- On the waiver: the participant's full name, the parent or guardian's full name and email address, and an emergency contact phone number
- A typed name from both the participant and the parent or guardian, and the date. Those typed names function as electronic signatures on the release
The form also includes a hidden field used to catch automated spam. If it is filled in, the submission is discarded.
This website has no database of its own. What you submit is attached to your order in Square, and a PDF copy of the signed release is emailed to the committee and kept in private storage on Amazon Web Services. That PDF is the committee's record that a waiver was signed, in the same way a paper waiver would be.
Students under 18
Most participants are high school seniors, and some are under 18. That is why the waiver requires a parent or guardian to enter their own name and email address and to sign alongside the student. We ask for a student's name and phone number so the committee knows who is attending and can reach them, and for an emergency contact so we can reach an adult during the event.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.
Payments
Donations and grad party tickets are processed by Square. When you pay, this site hands you off to Square's secure checkout, and your card details are entered on Square's systems, not ours. We never see, receive, or store your card number. What comes back to us is the record of the purchase: the item, the amount, and the name and email address you gave at checkout.
Square handles that payment information under its own privacy policy, at squareup.com/us/en/legal/general/privacy.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies of its own and does not use analytics, advertising, or retargeting of any kind.
Loading a page on this site contacts no one but this site. The fonts are served from vikings2027.com rather than from Google, so nothing about your visit reaches a third party. Square's checkout pages set their own cookies once you are on them, under Square's policy rather than this one.
Who else sees your information
We share information only with the services that make this site work, and only as far as they need it. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it.
- Square processes payments and holds the resulting order records, including the waiver details attached to a ticket order.
- Amazon Web Services hosts this website, delivers the email our forms generate, and stores the signed waiver PDFs in private storage.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we need to protect the rights or safety of the committee, our volunteers, or the students attending.
How long we keep things
Waiver and ticket records stay in Square with the order, in the committee's email inbox, and as PDF copies in private storage, through the grad party and for as long as the committee needs them for its own records. A signed waiver is a record of an agreement, so it is kept at least through the event. Payment records are kept by Square.
Links to other sites
This site links out to Square, Facebook, and Instagram. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, not this one.
Your choices
You can ask what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because we do not keep a database, that usually means finding and deleting email, and asking Square to handle anything on their side. Get in touch and we will do what we reasonably can. Note that a signed waiver is a record of an agreement, so we may need to keep it through the event.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
